All special/hazardous waste removed will need to be accompanied by Consignment Notes, with copies to be retained by yourselves and provided to SEPA/EHS (NI), and the appropriate fee for each collection paid to SEPA/EHS (NI)
- If you are in Northern Ireland, you will require confirmation of delivery of your hazardous waste to an appropriately authorised site within one month (known as a ‘Consignee’s Return’)
- You must not mix special/hazardous with non-special/hazardous waste

What Citron can do for you
- Prepare Consignment Notes, provide your required copy on collection and copies to SEPA/EHS (NI)
- Payment of the fees to SEPA/EHS (NI). In Northern Ireland, provide confirmation of delivery to an appropriately authorised site (a requirement of the new Regulations in Northern Ireland only). The charge for each collection will be £15 in Scotland invoiced monthly in arrears. The charge is included in the cost of the service in Northern Ireland (due to different charges for Consignment Notes made by SEPA in Scotland and EHS in Northern Ireland, and also the additional requirement for Consignee Returns each month in Northern Ireland).
What we need you to do as an existing or proposed Citron customer
We need you to tell us:
- Which waste is special/hazardous, as some wastes we collect may be special/hazardous and some not (you should also refer to the Citron Guidance/flowchart as to which wastes are always special/hazardous wastes and Citron can only collect as special/hazardous)
In order for us to provide you with a service, the Citron Hazardous Waste Reply Form (Scotland and Northern Ireland) needs to be completed by e-mail to hazardous@citronhygiene.com, by fax or post (to the number or address shown on form) If you require any further assistance you can contact our Environmental and Hazardous Waste Team either by telephone on 01524 595620 or by e-mail on hazardous@citronhygiene.com
