The North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium’s (NWUPC) annual conference returns to Manchester this year and is being held at the University of Manchester on Thursday 18th April, 2019.
The conference presents the chance for delegates to learn about the latest developments in Higher Education procurement whilst also discuss the current challenges in professional services procurement.
The theme of the conference this year is ‘Procure, Protect and Empower – Responsible Procurement through managing risk and building resilience,’ and will feature a range of talks from influential leaders in addition to a range of free workshops throughout the one-day event.
The show is FREE for all members of the NWUPC and there will be also be the opportunity for delegates to meet with suppliers from all category areas across the region at the supplier exhibition.

Directions to NWUPC
The conference is being held at University Place in the University of Manchester and is located just 1 mile from the city centre.
The easiest way to travel to the conference is by train with the University of Manchester located close by to three main train stations, Piccadilly, Oxford Road and Victoria.
Manchester Piccadilly is Manchester’s biggest train station with good transport links from many major cities. If travelling by train, when you have arrived at Piccadilly, you can take the Oxford Road Link Bus (Number 147) which will take you directly to the conference location.
The bus service from Piccadilly runs every 10 minutes or alternatively a taxi will cost around £5.
Oxford Road is accessible from a number of motorways including the M62, M6, M56 and the M67. Full routes can be found on the University website if you are planning to travel to the conference by car.
There are a number of large public multi-storey car parks available including Booth Street West (Sat Nav Postcode: M15 6AR) and Charles Street (Sat Nav Postcode: M1 3BB) and Cecil Street (Sat Nav Postcode: M15 6GD) for all day parking at the conference.
